Accra Indie Filmfest Introduces Film Incubation Program, AiF FilmArt 2021

Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF) in collaboration with AiF Academy introduces a film incubation program called AiF FilmArt 2021 as part of this year’s edition of the festival. This is an initiative to propel new voices for the film industry.

This Incubation program is for emerging film creatives resident in Ghana; screenwriters, directors, producers, cinematographers and editors. It will be a week-long intensive incubation. The first 5 days will consist of training workshops and the last 2 days will be a filmmaking challenge with 10 amazing young filmmakers split into two groups.

Entries for FilmArt 2021 opened on June 1st and closes on June 12th, 2021. Filmmakers applying as directors, producers, cinematographers and editors are expected to submit not more than 2minutes of their showreels. Screenwriters are to submit a two or three-page script.

All selected participants for AiF FilmArt 2021 should be available between 21st to 27th June 2021.

There are plans to have subsequent versions of AiF FilmArt opened to emerging filmmakers beyond the borders of Ghana
