As part of the 7th edition of Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF), scheduled for 4th to 9th August 2025 under the visionary theme “Disruption – Visions of Tomorrow,” the festival is proud to launch a reimagined platform for emerging creatives called AiF Talent Connect.
This programme was formerly known as the AiF Pitch Series during the 6th edition of the festival last year AiF Talent Connect represents a bold evolution of our commitment to spotlighting exceptional storytelling potential in Ghana. This initiative offers filmmakers the chance to pitch their original short film projects before a distinguished jury of local and international industry professionals.
Thanks to continued support from Création Africa Ghana, the French Embassy in Ghana, and Alliance Française Accra. Unlike last year, this year will have two selected winners, and they will receive the extraordinary opportunity to pitch their projects at the 48th Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival’s Talent Connexion in France, one of the most prestigious short film markets in the world.
AiF Talent Connect is a gateway to international exposure, creative mentorship, and longterm industry growth. The selected filmmakers will receive bespoke mentorship and pitch development support from the AiF and Creation Africa Ghana teams, ensuring they are fully prepared to represent Ghana and Africa on a global stage.
Since the inception in 2019, Accra Indie Filmfest has remained dedicated to discovering and nurturing independent filmmaking voices through its robust ecosystem of screenings, training programmes, international partnerships, and industry dialogue. The launch of AiF Talent Connect in this year’s edition reinforces that commitment while bridging the gap between local talent and global opportunity.
