LOS ANGELES, CA (March 19, 2026) – It was announced today that Ama Qamata, Thapelo Mokoena, Bohang Moeko, Ama K. Abebrese, Alessandra Fuller and Francisca Aronsson have joined previously announced Rome Flynn, Algee Smith, Desi Banks and Siv Ngesi in the cast of the action-comedy BOYZ TRIP, directed by Kyle Scott. The story is by Scott, who will also executive produce for KeyScott Entertainment and Canyon View Media, with Autumn Bailey- Ford producing for Autumn Bailey Entertainment. The film is currently shooting in Cape Town, South Africa.
Tired of their usual yearly meet-up, four college friends decide on a boys’ getaway that quickly spirals into international chaos, forcing them to rely on old bonds, questionable skills, and pure luck just to make it out alive.
Ama Qamata is a South African actress best known for her breakout role as Puleng Khumalo in the hit Netflix teen drama BLOOD & WATER. Her performance on the globally popular series quickly made her one of the most recognizable young stars in African television. Qamata has also starred as lead and co-produced in the film FIGHT LIKE A GIRL. She also featured in the Dutch series COMMANDOS further showcasing her range as a performer. With a growing international fanbase, she continues to emerge as one of the most promising talents of her generation.
Thapelo Mokoena is a South African Actor, Producer, entrepreneur and television host known for his cross-market work in film and television. Mokoena is widely known for the acclaimed South African series TRACKERS, UK’s BULLETPROOF with Ashley Walters, recently BAD INFLUENCER as well as BLOOD & WATER and FATAL SEDUCTION. He has most recently been seen in PIMVILLE and the recent Namibia produced feature film SKELETON COAST starring Mokoena and Eric Roberts. In addition to acting, he has built a flourishing career as a businessman and producer of premium lifestyle brands including wine & grooming.
Bohang Moeko is a South African actor known for his dynamic and versatile performances across film and television. He gained international recognition with his role in the Netflix film SERIOUSLY SINGLE and further expanded his global audience through the hit Netflix series HOW TO RUIN LOVE and the acclaimed drama ISONO. Moeko has also starred in films such as LOVE AND WINE and the BET+ feature A WESLEY SOUTH AFRICAN CHRISTMAS, steadily building a reputation for compelling, character-driven performances that resonate with audiences both locally and internationally.
Ama K. Abebrese is a British-Ghanaian actress, television host, and producer known for her work across international film and African cinema. She gained global recognition for her role in the award-winning drama BEAST OF NO NATION and previously won Best Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for SINKING SANDS. Her screen credits also include the acclaimed film THE BURIAL OF KOJO. In addition to acting, Abebrese is an influential media personality and advocate for the growth of African storytelling and film.
Alessandra Fuller is a Peruvian actress and film producer whose career spans television, film, and the evolving landscape of digital storytelling. She first gained widespread recognition for her role as Rosy in the hit series Ven, Baila, Quinceañera (VBQ), a show that became a defining moment in contemporary Peruvian television. Since then, she has continued to expand her presence in film, including the international romantic drama A Tu Lado (HBO Max), while also stepping behind the camera as a producer to develop new projects. Francisca Aronsson is a Swedish-Peruvian actress renowned for her stage presence and acting versatility, with a distinguished career in film and television in Spain and Latin America. From childhood, she achieved great prestige and recognition for her work in various series and films in Peru; however, it was in her early teens that she made her mark on the international market, participating in series such as El Internado: Las Cumbres (Amazon Prime Video – Spain), La Lola (ViX – Mexico), Perra Vida (Amazon Prime Video – Chile), and La chica de nieve (Netflix – Spain), reaching large audiences throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
