After getting established in December 2019, the National Film Authority (NFA) of Ghana, through its leadership has been making strategic efforts to get Ghana’s film industry back on track.
Besides recently inaugurating a local content committee for the film industry, the NFA has also announced its official website, www.nfa.gov.gh.
This announcement was made on the official Facebook page of the authority.
The post read,
‘Dear filmmaker
At this time, we do hope you are taking good care and staying safe. The National Film Authority understands the very difficult time we are in and encourages you to be resolute in surviving COVID 19.
Our administration is committed towards working to fulfill our mandate.
We take the opportunity to thank the Government of Ghana, through our mother ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, for inaugurating the board and enabling Act 935 under the constitution of Ghana.
The NFA’s role is to streamline the ecosystem of film in Ghana As recommended by public policy, the Board in February voted to pass the strategic proposal and vision of the administration to kick start the activities of the National Film Authority.
We invite you to visit www.nfa.gov.gh and engage the NFA as we work to make Ghana the number one film hub in Africa

Second on my list of addictions is Movies.. the only thing I could possibly love more is my Dearest Waakye lol. Nothing else does a better job of reminding me that ANYTHING is possible with the right amount of effort. I have great eye for details and flaws in scripts. Shallow scripts bore me. I am an avid reader. Your everyday Mr Nice guy. Always the last to speak in a room full of smart people. Half Human, half Martian but full MOVIE FREAK.
