TeamThe Africa Monologue Challenge (AMC) has unveiled the 50 talented finalists who have advanced to Season 3 of the groundbreaking competition. This announcement comes after a rigorous selection process that narrowed down an initial pool of over two thousand monologues to identify the top performers.
The race to Cote d’Ivoire has officially commenced, as the shortlisted 50 finalists gear up for the next phase of the competition. Over the coming months, these participants will battle it out to secure a spot among the final 10, who will earn the coveted opportunity to enter the Pan-African House in Cote D’Ivoire.
With representation spanning sixteen African countries and one diasporan from the United States of America, AMC Season 3 is shaping up to be a truly Pan-African celebration of culture and creativity. According to the organizers they are planning with the government of Cote D’Ivoire to unveil a lineup of activities and programs designed to elevate this year’s competition into a unique cultural and artistic experience.
“This year’s competition promises to be impactful and inspiring. As we integrate several new features to emphasize the richness of African talent while showcasing the continent’s diverse cultures, we are certain the world will appreciate Africa even better after the celebrations in Cote D’Ivoire, “The AMC is about empowering African storytellers and ensuring that the next generation of filmmakers and actors have the tools, networks, and platforms to succeed,” Mr. Mawuko Kuadzi, CEO of MK Casting and the AMC revealed.
He further stated how keen the competition has been this year with very many talented Africans who unfortunately could not make it into the final 50 due to the competitive nature of the Africa Monologue Challenge. Mr. Kuadzi revealed the preparedness of nine industry expert from different countries who are serving as judges for over the entire eight months of evictions and at the grand finale in Cote d’Ivoire.
Nana Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin, Executive Director of the African Chamber of Content Producers, and COO of the AMC disclosed how the season 3 of the AMC aims to truly unite the continent to look at the developmental agenda of the entire Continent.
“The Africa Monologue Challenge has always been more than a competition. It is a movement aimed at uniting Africa’s creative economy and using the power of storytelling to rebrand the continent positively on the global stage. Season 3 is no exception, with a renewed focus on fostering collaboration among African nations and the diaspora to drive cultural and economic development”, he stated.
As the finalists prepare for this exhilarating journey, the stage is set for a vibrant showcase of Africa’s creativity, talent, and unity. The countdown to the Pan-African House in Cote d’Ivoire begins now, and the world is watching.
