Ananse Entertainment has commenced principal photography for their latest project, “LAST STOP.”
The film will be directed by the head of the production studio Kwabena Gyansah and is set to feature acclaimed actors Adjetey Anang and Clemento Suarez leading roles.
“LAST STOP” delves into the turbulent lives of a ‘TroTro‘ driver and his mate, capturing their struggle for survival amidst chaos. The thriller boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Lydia Forson, Gloria Sarfo, Benedicta Gaffah, Andrew Adote Tandoh, Foster Romanus, Fred Amugi, Kweku Elliot, Solomon Fixon-Owoo, McPratt Dadzie, and many more.
“We aim to deliver a gripping and relatable narrative that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats” director and producer Kwabena Gyansah shared in a brief statement with this publication.
“The film weaves together themes of survival, family, betrayal, greed, and reconciliation, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience,” he added.
The AMVCA nominee is known for his work on critically acclaimed drama “Azali” and the TV shows “Nana Akoto,” and “High Currency.”
The shooting for “LAST STOP” is set to continue until mid-July. There is already a buzz building around the film on social media after some of the key cast members teased images from the set.
