Introducing the “Comic & Comedy” Stand-up Comedy Festival, where a blend of seasoned veterans and rising stars will unite for an unforgettable showcase of laughter.

Prepare for an exhilarating experience as Ghana’s stand-up comedy pioneers join forces with the new generation, delivering uproarious nights of entertainment. Presented by JPS Communications and supported by Superfam Network, the inaugural “Comic & Comedy” festival is scheduled to take place at the National Theatre in Accra on Saturday, July 22, and Sunday, July 23, 2023.

This side-splitting extravaganza will bring together top-tier stand-up comedians from different eras for two nights of exceptional performances, with shows at 4 pm and 8 pm each day. Witness the comedic genius of renowned figures like Fritz Baffour, a veteran politician and communications consultant, and Mikki Osei Berko, a brilliant broadcaster and actor, as they unleash an atmosphere of uncontrollable laughter.

Joining them will be a lineup of talented comedians representing the current generation, including Foster Romanus, Clemento Suarez, Jacinta, OB Amponsah, Lekzy Decomic, Jeneral Ntatia, Afia Barcelona, Putogo, and Yaa Anima, who will add their unique touch of humour to the proceedings.

The visionary behind this event, Francis Tetteh Nutakor, recognizes the evolution of the comedy industry and aims to commemorate the milestones achieved by bridging the gap between the old, current, and future generations. He acknowledges the contributions made by comedy pioneers from the days of concert parties and television shows, as well as the continuing impact of today’s comedians.

By bringing these diverse groups together, Nutakor believes that the festival will offer the next generation a valuable opportunity to learn from the wisdom of comedy legends. To ensure inclusivity, the organizers have considered various patron segments, catering to a wide range of comedy enthusiasts.

In addition to the uproarious performances, attendees can enjoy musical and dance acts, networking opportunities, and much more, all aimed at elevating the excitement to new heights.

Tickets for the event are available in two categories: normal admission for GHS150 and VIP admission for GHS250. To conveniently secure your tickets from the comfort of your home, dial 713003# and be part of Ghana’s historic first stand-up comedy festival.
